it’s that time again, that time for new year’s resolutions. i always make some, and then forget about them— i guess really because i just think some up to share with others, who inevitably ask me what my resolutions are.
one year i resolved to learn the “single ladies” dance from beyonce’s music video, which is not really a resolution, except i played it off like, okay if i learn that whole dance (NOT EASY), i’ll get in shape- so really my resolution is to exercise more and work on my rhythm. i do not know how to do the dance. i also said i would learn how to ride a bike last year to appease my family, but technically i did do it, and it was fun just like they said it would be, i just need some practice now.
but 2011 brought on a lot of big changes for me, although positive, things that mark the beginning of a new chapter in my life— maybe even my “adult” life (AHHHH!). and so here is 2012, and i have a lot to accomplish, things i want to be serious about; and things i don’t want to be so serious about.
i am going to use this blog more. when i first started it was so great for me; it served as a FUN outlet for random thoughts and allowed me to at least think creatively for myself. i must write more; it feels good and i want to do it. i also want to take more pictures. sometimes i impress myself, and think “why don’t i do this all the time?” again this year, i want to try to be in more pictures as well. as a dear friend always tells me, i’ll be happy to have it later.
it has been brought to my attention recently by family & loved ones that i need to work on being nicer. this makes me cringe because i love so many so dearly, and i truly care about the well being of others and myself, but sometimes i just get… bitchy, and the attitude just escaped before i can take that deep breath (also resolutions: breathe more; meditate; exercise) that i need to just regain patience and perspective.
more music! classic rock keeps me company, but it’s making something inside of me bored.
i got a knitting kit, and I WILL LEARN HOW TO KNIT.
i will get better at riding my bike, and spend more time outside. they say fresh air is good for ya, who would have thought?
gotta read more.
this has all just been for the record.
